Dress-code:
There is no dress-code, as long as you don’t make the vicar faint; we’re aiming for a summer party feeling and the most important thing is that everyone enjoys themselves. A word on footwear, though: the reception is on the main lawn, in a tent, which has a foam floor. Stilettos are not recommended, but wellies are welcome, especially if it’s wet.

The weather:
A May wedding makes it difficult to predict the weather. If the sun is shining we will make things as out-of-doors as possible, but if it rains we can keep dry in the tents. Please do remember to bring a jumper or jacket, as the evening may get chilly. (That’s another reason for joining in the dancing!)

Gifts and such:
We are very lucky that you are coming, and will be happiest if everyone just has a great time at the festivities. We also live in a tiny flat in Guildford, where (apart from books) we have to be quite strict on how much stuff we own. So there is no wedding list of delicate, heart-shaped crockery or matrimony-themed 52” flat-screens.
If you are still of a mood to make us a gift, we are saving up for two larger projects: arranging Esther’s British citizenship to get through whatever the Brexit aftermath will be, and planning a fancy honeymoon next year in Chile. Wild alpacas!! Donations would be warmly welcomed.

Children:
We want to make this a fun day for all ages, and children are very welcome. We will have games and lots of space for running around. Do be aware that there is a small lake in the grounds so supervision will be needed.

Food allergies etc.:
Almost everything on offer will be vegan or vegetarian. If you have any allergies or intolerances, do let us know, so we can make sure there’s something for everyone to devour.

Photos and sharing:
We’re keeping formal pictures to a minimum. As we have so many friends with a talented eye and a flashy camera (you know who you are…) we’re hoping to crowdsource pictures. I’d be brilliant if you could share you best snaps after the event. You can send them to us (WeTransfer is great for this) and we will make a gallery of the best ones on here.
